Celebrating 10 years of helping the homeless pets of Larned and Pawnee County!

2015 was a momentous year for us.  We celebrated 10 years of saving the lives of homeless, lost, scared and abused animals.  As a no-kill  organization, we have fostered or sheltered, cared for and found homes for almost 1900 animals, an amazing number for our small organization.  We were honored to receive Larned's Chamber of Commerce Small Non-Profit Civic Group of the Year award in June, and felt that it was a wonderful way to be recognized for our efforts throughout the last 10 years.

Some highlights from last year include:

• Taking in 299 animals
• Finding forever homes for 178
• Returning 99 lost pets to their owners

We would like to thank the City of Larned,  the Department of Corrections, Dr. Frick at Frick Veterinary Services and Drs. Mull and Burdett at Larned Veterinary Clinic for their continued support.  We could not do our work without them!

Thank you also to our dedicated and hardworking volunteers for their time spent taking care of animals at the shelter, working at fundraisers, walking dogs in parades and many other things.
